Social Enterprises Sydney Western Sydney Coordinator - One year contract, renewable for a further two years; Full time $73 000 (plus super) |
Social Enterprises Sydney (SES) is an emerging practitioner-led, membership-based social enterprise that is aiming to provide a range of activities to build the capacity of social enterprises across the Greater Sydney Region. Its mission is “to support and promote the success of social enterprises with a focus on connecting and developing practitioners”.
SES was incorporated in October 2010, and the organisation has been successful in being awarded State Government funding from the CommunityBuilders program administered by the Department of Family & Community Services, Community Services Agency. Two positions will be established as a result – one with a focus on Western Sydney and one with a focus on the Central Coast. As SES is still in the early establishment phases these positions will be hosted and supported by partner organisations (Parramatta City Council and Wyong Council respectively).
Parramatta City Council and Social Enterprises Sydney are currently seeking to recruit a motivated Western Sydney Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of services aimed at building the capacity of social enterprises across the region. Familiarity with organisational development in the social enterprise, small business or community services sector will be well regarded, as will experience working in Western Sydney. The position will work closely with Parramatta City Council’s Community Capacity Building Officer Social Enterprise, building on the program established over the past five years.
