Sri Lankan Recipes by Curry Mad – Trevally Pan Fried

Ingredients

1 Tsp Chilli powder
2 Sprigs Curry Leaves
1/2 Tsp Garlic, paste/fresh
1/2 Lemon, sliced
2-3 Mushrooms, optional
2 1/2 Tblsp Oil for frying
Salt to taste

1 Tomato, sliced

500g Trevally fish

Preparation

If you ask your Fish monger nicely, he/she will clean the fish for you.

Cut the sides of the Trevally as shown in the picture and apply the Chilli Powder, Curry Leaves, Garlic paste, sliced Lemon and Tomato and Salt and put aside for a while, around an hour.

Then heat the Oil in a pan, put the treated Trevally in and when fried, add the sliced Mushrooms, if you have chosen to use them.
