Invitation to Launch of Multicultural Health Week 2019 and Multicultural Health Communication Awards – 9 am for 9.30 am start at NSW Parliament House
Multicultural Health Week is coming up this September 2 – 8 , 2019.
Please see below and attached your invitation to the Multicultural Health Week 2019 Launch Event and the Presentation of the Multicultural Health Communication Awards on Monday 2 September at 9 am for a 9:30 am start at the Theatrette, NSW Parliament House, 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney.
The theme for this year is Health Literacy of New and Emerging Communities.
The aim this year’s Multicultural Health Week is to raise health awareness of the importance of health literacy, with a special focus on the new and emerging communities.
The winners of Multicultural Health Communication Awards 2019 will be announced on the day.
The Multicultural Health Communication Awards were established in 2003 by the NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) and are conducted biennially. The Awards program recognises excellence in multilingual health communication across NSW Health and Health funded non-government organisations.
