Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia from 1951 to 1972. Also, known as Mr D.N. Pereira – (Douglas Noel), (D.N.P.), (D.N.) or otherwise known as “Bulto” to the many hundreds of students he taught during his long teaching career.  Dad was known as “Bulto” a nickname he received at STC in the early 1950’s – around 1953/1954 when as a light smoker he decided to take to sucking the black and white striped lolly called “Bulto”! Thomians Class of 62 and O/L 70 Group celebrate 60 year nexus-by Rohan Mathes   Once again the old boys of the Class of 62 and O/L 70 Group of S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia gathered on January 22 under one banner to celebrate their sixtieth anniversary of their association and loyalties with their prestigious Alma Mater. The long relationship between these Thomians began in 1962 when they were admitted to the school.   This rendezvous was of paramount importance to the membership near and far, inclusive of those domiciled overseas, who had turned up in their numbers to enjoy the long-awaited fellowship, with their comrades, despite the prevailing Covid pandemic restrictions. Nevertheless, those who could not make it had been amply served by the provision of a Zoom link.
