Australian squad named for historic CommBank Women’s Ashes Source: Cricket Australia – CA Multicultural Media (eLanka) Cricket Australian’s National Selection Panel (NSP) has today announced the Australian squad for the white-ball component of the upcoming CommBank Women’s Ashes Series. The squad features 13 players for the opening three One-Day Internationals, with all-rounder Grace Harris to join the side for the following three T20 Internationals. The NSP will name a Test squad ahead of the historic Day-Night Test match at the MCG; the first of its kind at the venue and the first women’s Test match at the MCG since 1948-49. MEDIA RELEASE – Countdown to historic Ashes Day-Night Test begins Australia captain Alyssa Healy and vice-captain Tahlia McGrath are preparing to light up the MCG as the countdown to the historic CommBank Women’s Ashes Day-Night Test Match begins. Healy and McGrath were at the MCG last night to mark six months to go until Australia and England play in the first-ever day-night Test at the stadium between January 30 – February 2, 2025. When fans purchase a ticket to either the NRMA Insurance Men’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series or the CommBank Women’s Ashes Test by June 30, 2024, they’ll go into the draw for a chance to win one of six Golden Tickets.
