Memories of Gurutalawa – Lanka Nesiah Source:stcobasydney.org Written Circa 2010 in support of the Gurutalawa Building Fund project.Lanka Nesiah, a proud old boy of STC Mount Lavinia, taught for a short stint at STC Gurutalawa, while waiting to start his university studies a Peradeniya. He became a banker and spent 15 years in Oman before retiring to Sri Lanka. Entered eternal glory in 2013. Fondly remembered by family and friends. In December 1960, I had just sat for what was then known as the University Entrance Examination and was due to leave school from the College Arts A form. If I was successful in gaining admission to the University, the academic year would begin in July 1961.
