If you’re spiritually curious, there is still hope! A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. “I’ve gone for 30 years now,” he wrote, “and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can’t remember one of them. So, I think I’m wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.” This started a real controversy in the “Letters to the Editor” column, much to the delight of the editor.  SUNDAY CHOICE  – YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION  – by Charles Schokman As I write this devotion, I remember my inadequacies. This is indeed humbling. I cannot become self-righteous or arrogant knowing that we all face life’s temptations. What tempts me may not tempt you. Nevertheless, rest assured we are all tempted. Our temptations come in a variety of forms, which is why we cannot judge or criticize someone else. By the grace of God, we could have fallen into the hands of temptation. God’s power saves us. Temptations are a part of life. We just cannot yield to it. Let me be clear. I am not simply talking about sexual temptations. I am talking about temptations of all kinds including greed and dishonesty. The list is too long to name.
