Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia felicitates Award-Winning Students at the International Chemistry Olympiad – 2024 Source:-dailynews.lk The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia O.L. Ameer Ajwad felicitated four students who participated in representing Sri Lanka and won bronze medals at the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad 2024 hosted by Saudi Arabia in Riyadh from 21 – 30 July 2024. The International Chemistry Olympiad is held annually in various nations, serving as the largest international competition in chemistry for high-school students worldwide. 333 talented young students from 90 countries participated in the competitions this time. All four Sri Lankan young students who participated in the competitions won bronze medals. The award-winning students were Pahanma Lenora of Sanghamiththa Balika Vidyalaya, Galle, P.R.S.D.N.Palihawadana of Royal College, Colombo, Vajra Neth Wijesooriya of Ananda College, Colombo, and Sreemaathuri Sinthanaichselvan of the Ramanathan Hindu Ladies’ College, Colombo.
