“STORIES BEHIND THE SONGS” – by Des Kelly   There are many such stories, but at least this is a “happy one”. Once again, e’Lanka thanks Keith Bennett for sending in this great song/story combined. She needs no introduction whatsoever, but Anne Murray, one of my favourite female Country Singers does a magnificent job of singing the song (behind the true story), but please don’t forget the crippled guy who also does his version, right after the last dance is over, and to make a long story short,  following the lady, cos “ladies come first, even to the gallows”, as the famous  saying goes, & his introduction. ??   Desmond Kelly.
