The Pre-Seventies Batch/Group of the St. Peter’s College Old Boys’ Union – Annual General Meeting The Pre-Seventies Batch/Group of the St. Peter’s College Old Boys’ Union held its 14th Annual General Meeting yesterday, 25th August 2023 at the OBU Secretariat with an attendance of over 30 members. The keynote address was by the President of the OBU, Mr. Sanjeeva Abeygoonawardena. The following members were elected to the Committee of Management for the year 2023/24: President – Maj. Jayantha Atapattu (Ret.) Vice-President – Mr. Algi Wijewickrema Hony. General Secretary – Mr. Nihal Wijeratne Hony. Treasurer – Mr. Srinath Fernando Asst. Secretary – Mr. Rodney Martenstyn Asst. Annual General Meeting (10 February 2023) Source : THOMIANA Newsletter – May 2023 The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the STC OBA Melbourne was held at the Mount Waverley Youth Centre on Friday February 10th 2023 at 6.30pm. In the absence of any Covid restrictions, there was increased attendance of 77 including spouses. The meeting noted that 2022, marking the 50th Anniversary of the OBA in Melbourne, was one of the most successful years in terms of events and fundraising. In spite of COVID impacting several regular OBA activities, all the events went ahead as planned. The surplus funds generated were donated to several worthy causes including Smart Classrooms (Mount Lavinia), urgent projects in all our member schools and a local charity, Monash Children’s Foundation.
