Harindra Gunasekera had a nickname called ‘Bogah’ in sporting circles. His father was Tudor Gunasekera and Mother Nimali. His father was an owner of coconut and rubber estates in Katunayake / Kadirana area in Negombo, and was a very prominent figure in that area.
