Source:Dailynews Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday confirmed the Indian cricket series which will commence from February 24 with three T20 matches followed by two Test matches and one of the Test matches is a day-night affair, pink ball game. The first of three T20 matches will be played in Lucknow on February 24 followed by two games at Dharamsala on February 26 and 27. India revised the schedule for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, bringing the Twenty20 internationals forward to precede the two Tests on the request of SLC. SRI LANKA CRICKET NEWS (NOVEMBER 2021) Compiled by Victor Melder Sri Lanka’s new cricket superstar Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva said his first T20 World Cup will be one of his most memorable feats in history as he finished the championship with 16 wickets that included the three qualifying round matches although his team failed to qualify for the semi finals. In the Super 12s Hasaranga took 10 wickets while Australia’s Adam Zampa took 11. Dimuth on the verge of several batting milestones – by Sunil Thenabadu Sri Lanka skipper Dimuth Karunaratne will equal the World Record for most consecutive fifties in Test match cricket if he scores a half-century in the first innings of the second Test against West Indies in Galle starting Monday.   Sri Lanka’s Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne has hit a purple stripe this year and the 147 he scored against West Indies in the first Test in Galle this week was his fourth hundred in 2021. The 33-year-old came up with an similarly solid 83 in the second innings as Sri Lanka won by 187 runs with  a session to spare.  His feats have seen him accruing 854 runs this year in Test cricket at an average of 77.
