President leaves for UK to attend UN Climate Change Conference Source:Adaderana President Gotabaya Rajapaksa left the island today (October 30) to attend the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in the United Kingdom. The United Nations Climate Change Conference is scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland from tomorrow (October 31) to November 12 to discuss climate change and to talk about how countries implement their strategies to tackle the climate crisis. FAO supports the Ministry of Environment on a National Roadmap to tackle the Urban Food Waste challenge in Sri Lanka Source:Bizenglish.adaderana In a bid to address the urban food waste challenge in Sri Lanka, a National Roadmap on Urban Food Waste Prevention and Reduction for Households, Food services, Retailers, and Wholesalers was prepared by FAO for the Ministry of Environment. The roadmap maps out an evidence-based strategy and vision to effectively tackle the country’s urban food waste.
