Sri Lanka Cricket suspension lifted – Article sent by Johann Jayasinha The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has today lifted the suspension of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) with immediate effect. ICC Headquarters in Dubai SLC was suspended in November for being in serious breach of its obligations as an ICC Member, in particular, the requirement to manage its affairs autonomously and ensure that there is no government interference in the governance, regulation and / or administration of cricket in Sri Lanka. Harkirat Bajwa and Harjas Singh named in Australian squad for 2024 Men’s U19 World Cup The Youth Selection Panel (YSP) picked a 15-player squad including two from Indian heritage, Harkirat Bajwa and Harjas Singh, following the conclusion of the 2023 Under 19 Male National Championships in Albury last week. Sri Lanka cricket schedule: Full list of Test, ODI and T20I fixtures in 2024 – by Wisden Staff Source : wisden Sri Lanka have announced the men’s schedule for the 2024 season which will begin with a white-ball tour against Zimbabwe in early January. Sri Lanka, recently suspended by the ICC for political interference in the board’s functioning after the conclusion of the recent World Cup, have been permitted to compete in international cricket and will begin next year with two home series against Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. Drop-in pitches installed at Perth Stadium ahead of the upcoming NRMA Insurance West Test between Australia and Pakistan The World Cup and ICC World Test Champion Australians will take on Pakistan from December 14-18 at Perth Stadium, showcasing Western Australia to the world. The wicket square consists of five drop-in pitches, with each one weighing around 25 tonnes and the entire installation process taking more than two days. The drop-in wicket has been curated at the stadium since February, tended to daily by WA Cricket curators in the nursery located next to the outdoor practice wickets on the northern side of the stadium.
