SRI LANKA CRICKET NEWS (MARCH  2024) Compiled by Victor Melder The Cricket Selection Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket has named Niroshan Dickwella as a replacement for Kusal Janith Perera for the Twenty20 International (T20I) Series against Bangladesh, which begins on Monday in Sylhet. Perera, who was included in the T20I Squad, will not take part in the series as he is suffering from a respiratory infection. Perera did not join the team, which left for Bangladesh on Thursday. Dickwella will join the team tomorrow, ahead of the first match, which will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. Sri Lanka’s emerging cricket team to play in Japan Source:Dailymirror Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will send its men’s emerging team to Japan for a five-game T20 series next week.  SLC said that this series was organised at the request of the Japan Cricket Association, as their national team prepares for the East Asia Pacific Regional Final in July, which is a part of the qualification pathway for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.  The five matches, between May 10 and May 15, will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground. ...
