STC 2023 Rugby Championship – Sydney Warriors regain the Adelaide 2023 Rugby Championship for the second time in a row! The current defending rugby Champions Sydney Warriors embarked to Adelaide on 3rd November in expectation to defend STC 2023 Rugby Championship in a highly anticipated rugby tournament. The entire rugby tournament was sponsored by STC OBA showcasing talent, strength, and perseverance to win this year’s championship. Sydney Worries as a formidable rugby team played their finest rugby and demonstrated courage, talent, and persistence to regain the Adelaide 2023 Rugby Championship for the second time in a row. Obituary Notice – Rohan Abeysundera Please be informed of the passing away of Rohan Abeysundera in Canberra.   Rohan was a proud product St Peters College, Colombo. Rohan was a former rugby captain in 1964. Later, he excelled as a cricketer and athlete to become an outstanding sportsman. Rohan continued his sporting journey beyond school, as he represented Sri Lanka Rugby, Upcountry and Dickoya (DMCC). Although he settled down in Kandy, Rohan made it a point to visit college regularly to witness rugby & cricket matches. He was a member of the pre 70’s group, and fondly called “Gentle Giant”. We as fellow Peterites, pass our deepest sympathies to the family members of Rohan. Please be informed of the funeral arrangements of Rohan Abeysundera. The Sydney Warriors Rugby Squad did a excellent job in participating and flying the Sydney flag on behalf of all Srilankan’s in living in Sydney. PETERITES END THEIR 2022 RUGBY SEASON IN STYLE – by Joe Paiva I am very elated to hear the news of the triumphant Peterite Team. The phoenix rises from the Ashes. Lazarus rises from his tomb. However one swallow does not  necessarily mean it is Spring followed by Summer. The SPC victory,  while joyous should be analysed in its entirety without fear or favour. What did SPC learn? Reality check. Where to from here? Continuous Improvement  How can  SPC replicate that performance.   Sustainability  Was every single players contribution valued. Coaching Staff. Supporters.  Parent Community.  Not to be the best at any cost Rather the best SPC can be. Enjoy the game as true sportsmen WIN, DRAW or LOSE.
