A Cup of Milk – By Deb Edirisinghe Source : Deb Edirisinghe linkedin As a response to the rising number of children suffering from malnutrition in Sri Lanka, Child Action Lanka lunched a new project this month, “A Cup of Milk “. Phase one of this project is to distribute 10,000 Cups of Milk among children in Kandy that do not have regular access to much needed nutrients from milk. This week we distributed milk to 176 children at the Kaleimagal Tamil maha vidyalam, 55 children at the Kappetipola Maha Vidyalaya and last week we distributed to 110 children at the Maddumabandara Maha Vidyalaya with a total of 332 cups severed within two weeks. In the coming weeks our teams will be moving throughout out Kandy to serve more children in need.
