INVITATION: SOUTH ASIAN WOMEN PHOTOVOICE EXHIBITION AND LIVING WELL CONSULTATION WITH MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITIES

Come along and experience the personal journey of 17 inspiring women from South Asian backgrounds through such powerful images highlighting mental health issues in their community.

Hear their PhotoVoice at the exhibition on Saturday 21 September 2019, 9.00am – 1.30pm at the Parra Villa Function Lounge, 42 Campbell Street, Parramatta.

PhotoVoice is a powerful photographic and storytelling technique. The method was used to give a voice to the women to share their own stories.

You are also welcome to participate in the Mental Health Commission’s community consultation with multicultural communities and contribute to mental health policy reform on the day. See attached for more information.

Please register today: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/living-well-mid-term-review-lived-experience-workshop-and-south-indian-photovoice-project-21-sept-tickets-70867459479

It would be appreciated if you can please feature this exhibition and living well consultation in your newsletters, publications, broadcasts, websites, and social media platforms to help raise awareness about mental health issues within culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

To organise interviews with the women, organisers (MHC and MHCS) and mental health experts leading to the event and/or on the day, please contact on 02 8753 5006 or 0409 864 881.
