He was a steadfast member of the STCOBANSW/ACT for a long period and a committed member of the OBA committee 2013/14, making a significant contribution in many ways specially as a keen Cricketer of the Thomian cricket team. His achievements on the field are memorable, clinching an individual award every time he represented the team. Mathavavaraja Sri Bawan: 07-09-1946 to 09-02-2022- by Kitto Dias We moan the passing away of our dear friend and colleague M. Sri Bawan, one of the “terrible twins”, Sri Rangan being the other who passed away about three years ago in Canada.  Rangan & Bawan – both in Copleston/Claughton, one of the boarding houses at STC Mount. “Terrible Twins” –  perhaps not quite the right words to describe them but in College those who rioted (unlike on the streets today) were given such nick names! But to many of us his close friends, Bawan whom I got to know better, was more than a Thomian! He was kind, generous, thoughtful, fun loving person who lived his life to the fullest. New Committee STC OBA NSW/ACT 2021-2022 Dear Fellow Thomians It is with great joy and satisfaction that we announce the newly elected OBA committee for the forthcoming period 2021-2022. The new committee was appointed at the AGM concluded on Sunday 31st October 2021. Despite the prevailing social gathering restrictions due to COVID-19, the 2021 AGM was held “outdoors” at the Heritage Park, Castle Hill. Arranged in an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie, interwoven with that intrinsic characteristic, “Thomian Spirit” the formal proceedings were preceded by a BBQ lunch.
