While He was in the temple, healing the blind and the lame, the leading priests and scribes saw Jesus performing miracles and even heard children shouting, “Hosanna! Praise God for the Son of David.” The religious teachers grew irate, questioning Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” “Yes,” Jesus responded to His critics, asking, “Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have perfected praise’?” (Matthew 21:16, NKJV). SUNDAY CHOICE- Our Hearts Always Hunger For – sent by Charles Schokman “And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace!” – Isaiah 9:6 The prophet Isaiah describes the coming Messiah above with these words, “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace!” Jesus is the embodiment and fulfillment of this prophecy. He is the most wonderful counselor. He is sympathetic to our weaknesses and so understanding of our failings and fallings. Jesus invites us “to approach [his] throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:14-16). The day before his wedding his fiance died in a tragic drowning accident. Heartbroken, Joseph sailed from his homeland to start a new life in Canada. While in Canada working as a teacher, he fell in love again and became engaged to Eliza Roche, a relative of one of his students. We trust him, as Lord in Heaven, who is in control of everything, to guard our life. The promise that in Isaiah 40:31 is beautiful. I love the imagery of my strength being renewed. AN INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2022 – By Rev Bruce Stewart ENCOURAGEMENT Two large water buffaloes yoked together towed our trailer, with seven of us on board with the greatest of ease through some of the countrysides of Cambodia. The pace was slow but steady. The location was close to Kampot in the Deep South of the country. The track we were travelling on was often wet and muddy, exactly what water buffalo like! The buffaloes loved being cooled by water in the hot and humid conditions. In fact, our driver stopped every 15 minutes or so and sprayed water over the backs and heads of the buffaloes using a small electric pressure pump carried on board the trailer next to the driver’s seat, thus helping cool the animals. Next, we slowly moved to our destination through lush tropical vegetation and farming land to the “Secret Lake”. ...
