Sinopec to begin islandwide operations by end of September: Minister Source:Dailymirror Sinopec fuel company, which set up their first fuel station in Mattegoda last week, will begin their islandwide operations by the end of September, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said. He said discussions were held with officials of Sinopec Fuel and Refinery Operations at the Ministry of Power and Energy regarding the progress of retail operations, signing of agreements with dealerships, branding and commencement of islandwide operations.   The Minister tweeted that Sinopec Refinery officials also assured their commitment to establishing a new refinery in Hambantota and that they will submit the request for proposal (RFP) before the deadline next week.   ...
