The book holds a repository of epicurean treasures with over sixty Italian recipes beautifully interwoven with tales and accounts of Italy’s culinary history. Sri Lanka opens for Indian travellers Source:Dailynews Sri Lanka has opened its borders to India after a long-anticipated hiatus. Regular flights will be operated between nine Indian cities and the island nation. Fully vaccinated Indian travellers will be required to produce a negative PCR report issued not before 72 hours of their arrival and undergo an on-arrival PCR test at a certified hotel in Sri Lanka. They will then be allowed to roam across the country freely. Sri Lankan Airlines will operate four weekly flights to Chennai, three to Mumbai, and one to Bengaluru under its new schedule. It is expected to introduce significant frequency enhancements. Under the new schedules, the airline will be resuming services between Colombo and four Indian cities – Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum and Cochin – with one flight a week, whilst Hyderabad and New Delhi will be connected to Colombo with two flights in a week. ...

Sri Lanka Tourism says country now open to fully-vaccinated travellers with quarantine-free entry Source:FT As Sri Lanka paves the way to restart tourism, fully-vaccinated international travellers who have received the second dose of the vaccine 14 days prior to arrival will now be allowed to enter the country without undergoing quarantine.  While several restrictions remain for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated visitors, those who have been ‘double-jabbed’ will have travel restrictions eased; this includes entry into the island without a period of quarantine other than the 24 hours required to stay in a Safe and Secure Level 1 Hotel until the on-arrival PCR test results are available. Once the ‘Day One’ PCR test report is negative, travellers will be able to leave the Level 1 Hotel and enjoy their holiday.
