Old Josephians of Sydney celebrate the Feast Mass of the College Patron at the Quakers Hill Community Centre –  by George Rupesinghe The Old Josephians of Sydney gathered in record numbers on 4 March to celebrate the Feast Mass of the College Patron at the Quakers Hill Community Centre. Over 200 people, including 53 Old Joes, graced the annual event.  The occasion was also a welcome to the new chaplain to the Sri Lankan community of NSW, Father Treseen Silva, who concelebrated the Mass with Father Shansana Wasala. Father Silva, who had arrived in Australia just a month ago, later introduced himself to the gathering and said he expected to see more of them at future events and religious observances..  A special collection taken up at the Mass was donated to the two celebrants.  As usual the Joes displayed their enthusiasm with the customary rendition of the College Anthem and hitting ...

Another Golf Day success for Old Josephians – Photos thanks to George Rupesinghe Click here or on the photos below to view the full album of photos on eLanka Facebook page   The evening of Sunday 28 October was set with some 100 attending the post-golf dinner and the award ceremony at the North Ryde Golf Club. It was yet another occasion for the Old Joes to meet, mingle and enjoy the company of friends. An interesting addition to  the proceedings was the continuous projection of a variety of photos of our Alma Mater reflecting the changes and additions of new facilities in recent years. Among the visitors was Mr Anton Swan, consul for Sri Lanka in Brisbane.
