The Old Josephians of Sydney gathered in record numbers on 4 March to celebrate the Feast Mass of the College Patron at the Quakers Hill Community Centre. Over 200 people, including 53 Old Joes, graced the annual event.

The occasion was also a welcome to the new chaplain to the Sri Lankan community of NSW, Father Treseen Silva, who concelebrated the Mass with Father Shansana Wasala.

Father Silva, who had arrived in Australia just a month ago, later introduced himself to the gathering and said he expected to see more of them at future events and religious observances..

A special collection taken up at the Mass was donated to the two celebrants.

As usual the Joes displayed their enthusiasm with the customary rendition of the College Anthem and hitting the dance floor to the tempos by Cazcade after enjoying a very satisfying dinner catered by Flavour of Ceylon.

This was the first event organised by the new Committee under the leadership of Lalith Grero and it augurs well for the future events planned by the Association.
