Australia junior foreign minister to visit Sri Lanka, renew framework deal Source : economynext Australia Assistant Foreign Minister Tim Watts is visiting Sri Lanka and plans to renew a Trade and Investment Framework Arrangement. “Our growing economic ties with Sri Lanka will be enhanced through the signing of a renewed Trade and Investment Framework Arrangement, which will also support economic recovery,” Watts said in a statement. “Our development program is assisting Sri Lanka’s inclusive economic growth, in sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture and tourism. “I will also discuss with Sri Lankan counterparts how we can work together to meet shared challenges like climate change and transnational crime.” Sri Lanka’s cabinet of ministers approved the renewal of the Trade and Investment and Agreement with Australia, the state information office said. ...

Weekend in Dambulla at Liyya Water Villas Resort – By Harold Gunatillake Website : www.Doctorharold.com My wife and I booked this hotel a few weeks ago and visited last weekend. We started from Kandy at about 11 am, and it took us two hours through Matale to reach Dambulla without rush and a comfortable slow drive. This resort was about 2 km before Dambulla Cave Temple., where had to turn left near a small boutique. There was a large display board at the turn-off.
