Ceylon Theatres and British Council join hands to screen the UK’s National Theatre Live here Source : island Ceylon Theatres has joined the British Council to bring the UK’s National Theatre Live (NT Live) to Sri Lankan audiences. The British Council has declared its support to the NT Live screenings, in 2023/24, as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of UK-Sri Lanka diplomatic ties. Ceylon Theatres said that this will allow a wider audience to enjoy and experience world class UK Arts. National Theatre Live is an initiative operated by the Royal National Theatre in London. It broadcasts live, by satellite, performances of their productions to cinemas and arts centres around the world. Ceylon Theatres operates the Regal cinemas and the Majestic cinema in Sri Lanka, which collectively has 18 screens across the country in seven locations.
