DEMISE OF WINANT JURIANSZ FOrMERLY OF BRITISH BANK OF THE MIDDLE EAST & HSBC 0MAN Saddened to learn  the Demise of Winant Juriansz, fondly known as “Jurie” in Oman. He joined British Bank of the Middle East latterly known as HSBC Oman in the late Seventies leaving Sri Lanka on a Christmas Day. In Sri Lanka, I met Wynant during the late Sixties when he visited his relative the Late Aubrey Moses who was my neighbour separated by a wall in Wedikande Rd Mt Lavinia. Each time Wynant visited Aubrey,  as the Administrator of the Muscat 80’s Facebook Post below confirms,  we would hear Juire  sing late into the night with the then popular songs relayed over Radio Ceylon!!!!
