Edward was 88 years of age when he passed away on 27th September in a Zurich Hospital from complications with his heart and kidneys. Obituary: Mrs Doreen Abeywardena Warasakoon To THE DSA ERA GROUP, It is with deep sadness that we note the passing away of Mrs Doreen Abeywardena Warasakoon on 20th September 2022 in the afternoon. She was very ill and was warded at Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital for over a week. Obituary notice – Dr Channa Wijesinghe Dear Royalist We have received the sad news of the passing away of Dr Channa Wijesinghe last Sunday the 18th of September 2022. Channa was a highly respected Old Royalist who was on the Committee of the RCOBAA and served a term as President. Later he was awarded a Life Membership for unbroken membership years and his strong support to the RCOBAA. Dr Channa Wijesinghe won the Rupasinghe scholarship at Royal College. He was the foundation professor in psychiatry in Colombo University. He later migrated to Australia and was the Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Monash University and a board member of the Medical Board of Victoria.
