Just got the sad news of the passing away of a good friend, Arthur Speldewinde at 0630 on the morning of Friday the 16th December 2022. How old he was, I really don’t know, but what I do know is that Arthur was a born Entertainer/Dancer/Compere & all-round good guy who started doing what he loved to do, at a very early age in Ceylon, thrived on what he did, then migrated to Australia, as so many others did, continued to make his name on stage, in Oz., & was quite a regular “Star” on Face Book, until recently, when he got ill and had to give it all up. Arthur Speldewinde remembering all the beautiful women he stared the stage with. Arthur Speldewinde remembering all the women he shared the stage with in the 60’s. Besides this what I found to be of really great entertainment was by clicking on “Projesom”- that had various couples dancing to the old favourites ‘Rivers of Babylon’ etc  which shows the enjoyment these couples really had during these times.  Priceless…..what a place Ceylon/Sri Lanka was… I am sure the older folks will remember these famous ladies…  Arthur is 81 years old ..  lives in Australia..  still singing.. enjoy…takes you down memory lane..all the  beautiful stage stars… 60s in OUR LOVELY CEYLON.   ...
