Born on November 6, 1968, in Payagala, Father Andradi comes from a family of eight. His father, Mr. D. M. J. Andradi, was a devout Catholic, and his mother, Mrs. Lucy Suwaris, was known for her kindheartedness. He has six brothers and two sisters. His elder brother, Rev. Fr. Kamal Andradi, is also a priest. Father Andradi entered St. Aloysius Seminary and was ordained a priest on July 31, 1993. He made this statement after visiting a number of churches in Colombo and the suburbs yesterday. The Cardinal said that the government had time till 21 April to take action against the perpetrators of the attacks and Catholics will take to the streets if their request went unheeded. “We won’t be fooled again. Omalpe Sobitha Thera, the Cardinal said that the government should focus on ensuring the security of all Sri Lankans instead of a select few. The Cardinal said that he was still not satisfied with the security measures adopted to deal with terrorists. “Some houses in Periyamulla, Negombo have been closed after the Easter Sunday bombings but they have not been checked,” he said. He also urged youth not to use social media to misinform people and spread hatred.
