A Heartfelt Appeal to Support Sri Lanka’s Medical Needs
A Beacon of Hope: The Unwavering Support for Sri Lanka’s Medical Needs
Today, we gather at the Abbottsford HKI office, honored by the presence of the President of the University of Swami Nandaswamy and the Chair of the Burek Council. This gathering signifies the remarkable journey and unwavering commitment of our community towards a noble cause.
Sri Lanka, a land of immense beauty and rich culture, is in need of our help. Our efforts to gather funds have been bolstered by the generosity of Sri Lankans, both at home and abroad. Today, over 60 dedicated individuals stand with us, showing immense support for the HCI initiative.
Our gratitude extends to the Hospital Service Council for their generous contributions, and to all the Sri Lankans who have traveled back to their homeland to donate. Your kindness and dedication are making a significant impact, and for that, we are deeply thankful.
We kindly request all Sri Lankans to watch this short video and share it with friends and family. The medical equipment you see in the video has been donated to support the innocent people of Sri Lanka. These valuable items, worth crores, are available for free – all that is required are the shipping and clearing charges. Delays could result in these goods being allocated to other countries.
Since our humble beginnings in 2014 in Melbourne, this charitable service has grown exponentially. We have expanded to other states in Australia and have reached communities in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Our goal is to raise awareness and promote this initiative across the globe.
The medical equipment we receive comes from hospitals, aged care facilities, and generous suppliers, all free of charge. However, we face significant challenges in terms of storage facilities, transportation, and funds to cover shipping to Colombo and clearing costs.
We urge you to join us in this cause. Your support can make a difference in the lives of many. For more information or to contribute, please contact Sarath Silva at 0409 468 008 or Neil Ranatunga at 0425 647 100.
Let’s come together to support our homeland and ensure that no one is left without the medical care they need. Your generosity can bring hope and healing to countless lives in Sri Lanka.
