No ceasefire calls from Trump’s side—
No urgent bid to stem the tide.
In talks with Putin, war remained
A backdrop neither leader strained.
The Kremlin’s stance was firm, precise:
Peace talks, yes—but no armistice.
No pause in fire, no battlefield hush,
Just rhetoric dressed in a diplomatic brush.
Trump, unmoved, let silence speak,
No pressure mounted, no critique.
No leverage used, no moral weight
To challenge Russia’s hardened state.
And so, with no ceasefire on the table,
Sanctions stayed within the fable.
No secondary strike could land—
No legal ground, no reprimand.
The war rolls on, the cost unseen,
While leaders pose in a neutral sheen.
A moment missed, a chance declined—
