ACBT Kart Fight Championship 2024 01 (1)

David Pieris Racing & Leisure (Private) Limited is thrilled to announce the fourth and final round of the ACBT Kart Fight Championship 2024. This much-awaited event will take place on August 17th, commencing at 6.00 am at SpeedBay, Pearl Bay, Bandaragama.

The championship will feature twelve competitive classes, to showcase the skills and determination of drivers across various skill levels. Sri Lanka’s sole FIA/CIK homologated karting track will provide the stage for intense competition as participants compete across a diverse range of kart categories. The Iame X30 and Yamaha KT100 classes are expected to be fiercely contested.

The ACBT Kart Fight Championship caters to drivers of all ages and experience, with dedicated categories for Ladies, Cadets, Juniors, Seniors, Masters, and Veterans. To complement the main event, support races will be held in the IAME X30 Cadet, IAME X30 Open, and Yamaha KT100 classes.

In alignment with the commitment to promoting women in motorsport, the event will incorporate the FIA Women in Motorsport initiative. This platform is dedicated to enhancing the visibility of female drivers and fostering increased participation across all categories.

“The fourth round of the ACBT Kart Fight Championship is a significant milestone in Sri Lankan motorsports,” stated Eshan Pieris, Chairman, David Pieris Racing & Leisure (Private) Limited. “We anticipate a high level of competition and sportsmanship as drivers strive for excellence on the challenging SpeedBay circuit. This event is dedicated to developing a thriving motorsports culture in the country together in which partnering with ACBT has being instrumental as they share the vision of nurturing young talent and promoting the values of sportsmanship in motorsports.

The ACBT Kart Fight Championship 2024 Round 4 is hosted at SpeedBay, Bandaragama, under the management of David Pieris Racing & Leisure (Private) Limited, the motorsports division of the David Pieris Group together with ACBT, Australian College of Business & Technology, as the title partner for this round and championship.
