• International Cricket to be played in 11 cities and 14 venues including every State and Territory capital city for the first time in 17 years
• NRMA Insurance men’s Ashes Series includes Gabba D/N Test and Adelaide Christmas Test
• Blockbuster India men’s white ball series features first five match T20I series
• Women’s multiformat series against India includes a day-night Test Match at the redeveloped WACA Ground and three marquee T20Is
• Northern Australia Series returns in tourist hot spots Darwin, Cairns and Mackay
• International ticket pre-sale for fans who have registered begins on June 3, 2025, while general public tickets go on sale on June 13

Cricket will be everywhere this season, with international matches to be played in 11 cities and 14 venues throughout an action-packed schedule for Australia’s national sport, spanning eight months from August 2025 through to March 2026.

Fans across Australia will be treated to the hugely anticipated NRMA Insurance men’s Ashes five-Test series, an exciting eight-game men’s white ball series against fierce rival India, a multiformat women’s series seeing Australia’s star-studded team taking on India and six season-opening men’s white ball matches against South Africa in the tropical north.

Attendance records set during last summer’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series will be under threat when fans flock to see Pat Cummins’ Australians attempt to defend the Ashes trophy they have held since 2017-18 against Ben Stokes’ England.

The cricket world will be gripped by a series commencing with the West Test at Perth Stadium and featuring the first Ashes D/N Test at the Gabba and the inaugural Christmas Test at Adelaide Oval before the traditional Boxing Day and New Year’s Tests.

The hugely popular Indian teams again feature prominently on the schedule with Australia’s men taking on India in a blockbuster white ball series that includes the first five-match T20I series between the cricket heavyweights. The T20I series commences at Manuka Oval, Canberra and includes the Indian men’s team’s first match on the Gold Coast.

The Australian women will host a multiformat series against the rapidly emerging Indian team including the first Test Match at the redeveloped WACA Ground in Perth.

Harnessing the momentum created by last season’s successful Women’s Ashes Series there will also be three marquee T20I matches at the SCG, Manuka Oval and Adelaide Oval.

The international season begins in the Top End with Darwin, Cairns and Mackay hosting three men’s T20Is and three ODIs between Australia and South Africa following their showdown in the World Test Championship final at Lord’s in June.

The series-opening T20Is in Darwin will see international cricket return to the Northern Territory after a 17-year hiatus while Mackay and Cairns will provide a tropical backdrop for some exciting early-season encounters.

Todd Greenberg, CA CEO said:

“We are excited to announce the schedule for what will be another incredible international season including the grand history and intense rivalry of the Ashes, the fantastic box office appeal of the India men’s and women’s teams and a return to some iconic tourist locations in northern Australia for the white ball series against South Africa.

“We look forward to bringing international cricket to fans across the country with 11 cities and 14 venues hosting matches throughout the season including matches in every state and territory capital city for the first time in 17 years.

“We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences and digital engagement last summer and we’re confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season.

“We are extremely grateful for the cooperation and support of all our government, venue, broadcast and commercial partners who ensure Australia’s national sport continues to deliver brilliant experiences in stadiums and drive participation across the country.”
