Dhanushka Fernando Sri Lankan domiciled in Victoria ,Melbourne Australia a native of Gampaha came to spotlight as a lyricist when his song “Malakuth Thibuna Henguman Hanga” sung by Chtral Somapala and Umara Singhwansa with an appropriate video was launched when it was viewed by over six million viewers across the globe.This made Dhanushka more enthusiastic in his endeavours. It needs to be mentioned that songs with Danushka’s lyrics had been sung previously by many popular artistes like Kasun Kalhara, Nirosha Virajini ,Amal Perera,Adiththiya Weliwatta etc.
Dhanushka is the sole owner of Chaniru Entertainments based in Victoria which was established over a decade ago in year 2011.Dhanushka in addition to been a lyricist is an event promoter and a producer.It need to be emphasized that it was Dhanushka who was one responsible to telecast the very popular Sunday night program “Sihinayaki Re” live by hosting the program with a different theme in Melbourne and Sydney two years ago which arose a huge interest among “SihinayakeRe” fans across the globe, many migrants ‘down under’, at the same time provided the opportunity for many in Melbourne and Sydney to showcase their talents to the world. Dhanushka’s event promoting ability was demonstrated which of course was a gigantic mission.
Dhanushka is a multi-talented individual had produced a short film titled “Sima Ira” shot during the height of the pandemic amid lockdowns where many artistes endeavoured to exploit .The shooting in the film is still incomplete but the song is due to be released on the 30th January (today).The trailer could be viewed on Dhanushka’s you tube channel.
The music compositions of most of the songs composed by Dhanushka had been entrusted to Sachith Ravindu Bogoda an accomplished musician while Kasun Kalhara had with his immense expertise had contributed his musical forte as a strong cult.The song in his short film due to be released sung by Kasun Kalhara “Virahawath Eka Rahak”the music composition was by talented Sachith Bogoda. Dhanushka had composed the lyrics of Nirosha Virajini’s :Hada Pelenna”,also “ Api Apema Wunath” then Amal Perera’s “Netha Nethata Hora” the acoustic version of “Haadu Sulange also sung by Amal Perera, then “Rahase Handana: the duet of Umara Singhwansa and Amal Perera are just some songs which have become hits.The video of the song “Seetha” sung by young Adiththya Weliwatta depicts based on the character of India’s legendary story “Ramayana”.

Danushka married his long time fiancé’ Priyadarshini Weerasinghe in July 2009 .The duo are blessed with a daughter and a son.All his fans an d friends would wish the family also for Dhanushka to prolong his versatile career in the uphill journey which is sure to be swift .
