Dutch Museum in Colombo Fort to be opened soon-by Irangika Range

The Dutch Colonial Museum in Colombo Fort will be opened for local and foreign tourists shortly.
Additional Secretary (Cultural Promotion) of the Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Ministry Tilak Nandana Hettiarachchi said that the renovation work of the museum has reached its final stage.It is expected to be opened for tourists next year.
The insurance provided for artistes under the Tower Hall Foundation was also discussed.
He said that a fire protection system will be provided to the library of the National Museum in the near future. It was revealed that the museum website is also being prepared. The aim is to increase the number of visitors and income by popularizing the museum among local and foreign tourists.
