LENTIL AS ANYTHING, the social enterprise run by founder Shanaka Fernando will go out of business by the end of February. The popular vegan restaurant chain cited the pandemic for its financial difficulties. Beginning in St Kilda 21 years ago,i t expanded to Abbotsford and Thornbury, as well as Sydney. Shanaka, was named Australia Local Hero in the 2007

Australian of the Year award. Backpackers and university students made up about 70 percent of the clientele.

TRAVEL TO SRI LANKA, is making a come-back. The ‘Weekend Australian”, Travel& Luxury Supplement of 12 – 13,
