Sri Lanka Association of NSW inc is a community-based organization established in 1973 to represent all Sri Lankans living in NSW and to provide a common meeting ground for all Sri Lankans regardless of their ethnic and religious backgrounds.

Our organization annually hosts a Seniors Luncheon and recognition of young high achievers. Generally, this event attracts over 200 community members.

This year we are planning to make it a diverse event by including multicultural senior groups including Aboriginal communities to encourage community cohesion and to increase community awareness. We are also bringing seniors and young people together to bridge the generational gap and also aiming to build community capacity.

Hon Dr Kay Patterson AO, the Age Discrimination Commissioner is the keynote speaker of the morning event, and Samantha Abeydheera, Managing Director NRMA is the keynote speaker of the High Achievers Awards.
