Sri Lankan New Year Celebrations 2024
We are delighted to extend an invitation from Australia Sri Lanka Association of Canberra , alongside all Sri Lankan associations and sports clubs in Canberra, to join us for the Sinhalese and Tamil New Year festival. This vibrant celebration will take place at Stage 88, Commonwealth Park in the city on April 6th, running from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Be Prepared for an unforgettable day filled with traditional Sri Lankan games, traditional customs, Paying respect to elders, Cultural shows, Folk songs, Baila sessions, a Beauty Contest, a Fancy dress parade, and mouthwatering Sri Lankan cuisine, among other delights. Admission is free, so mark your calendars for April 6th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. All Canberrans are warmly welcomed to join in the festivities.
