The Gala Masquerade Dinner/Dance was superbly organized on behalf of the Ladies College Old Girls by Shanali Gomes and took place on 10 August 2024 at the Showroom, Hornsby RSL.
Entertainment was provided by one of Sydney’s premier bands, JELLYBEAN JAM, supported by an energetic Baila session by DJ JUDE DRUMS. The evening was expertly managed by MC Duke, who, as always, was at his best—professional, engaging, and flawlessly guiding the event proceedings.
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with canapés and sparkling wine, followed by a non-stop flow of beer, wine, soft drinks, and spirits at the bar. The Hornsby RSL delivered a scrumptious deluxe three-course dinner that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The evening also featured exciting prizes, including awards for Prince Charming, Finder of the Glass Slipper, Outstanding Mask, and a raffle that allowed several lucky guests to walk away with something extra. Additionally, all guests were treated to a delightful bonbonniere.
Ladies dazzled in vibrant sarees, while the gentlemen looked dapper in black tie, with some showcasing their masquerade flair.
Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. A special thank you is extended to Shanali Gomes, who nearly single-handedly orchestrated this memorable event.
