Hameedia unveils second Green Mart outlet in Ratmalana
8th February 2023 – Colombo: Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear brand that is synonymous with style and quality, has continued its journey to transform Sri Lanka’s grocery shopping experience by opening its second Green Mart gourmet grocery store in Ratmalana at No. 271, Galle Road, Ratmalana.
The Chief Guests at the official inauguration of the new Green Mart outlet were Diamond Best Food of Companies Chairman Foumi Jisty and Sri Lankan medal-winning swimming champion Julian Bolling. They were joined by Hameedia’s Managing Director Fouzul Hameed, CEO Niroshan De Silva, and Chairman Rizvi Zaheed.
Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing economic crisis, purchasing food at an affordable price and gaining access to it conveniently has become a significant challenge for people. To ease this situation, Hameedia launched the first Green Mart in Ratmalana last year paving the way for communities in the surrounding areas to easily access an assortment of food and beverages.

The new store also signals the elevation of the Green Mart delivery services as it promises to deliver orders within 30 minutes from confirmation, subject to a few terms and conditions. Additionally, Green Mart will be soon available online through the upcoming website which will allow customers to place orders from their computers or smart devices from anywhere conveniently.
