What are the benefits of an OQU assessment?

OQU assessments can be used for a number of purposes: to enhance your employment prospects, for further education and training and to meet eligibility criteria for work experience programs.

My documents are not in English. Do they need to be translated?

Yes. Documents that are not in English must be translated by an official translator. Both the original and the translated documents must be provided for assessment.

Do I have to pay an assessment fee?

No, the OQU assessment is free of charge.

What if I don’t have the required documents?

If you can’t provide certain documents for assessment, please contact our office to discuss alternative documents that may be accepted.

What if I can’t find my country of qualification in the application form?

We are able to assess qualifications from a large number of countries. If the country where you undertook your qualification is not on the list, unfortunately we are not able to assist you. Please see our website for alternative services that you might find useful.

Do my documents need to be certified as true copies of the original?

Yes, you must have your documents certified (verified/confirmed/proved) by someone with the legal authority to say they are true and correct.

Do I need an English Language test for an OQU Assessment?

No, English language proficiency is not required for an OQU Assessment.

How is my overseas qualification assessed?

The OQU provides overseas qualification assessment based on the Country Education Profiles published by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment.
