Operation Hope Special Update and Thank you

Operation Hope Special Update and Thank you

Dear Supporters,

I hope this email finds you and your family doing well.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, so many are feeling isolated, despondent and lonely, particularly in Melbourne. Not being able to see family and friends and do our normal work and activities has left a lot of us feeling frustrated. So many have been affected financially as well, not really knowing how this will all play out. If you’re like me you have been bingeing on Netflix and chocolate – summer shorts aint looking pretty!

Despite this uncertain time, you have continued to give generously. This is truly amazing and a real blessing to the people we serve overseas. I wanted to take some time out personally to say a huge THANK YOU and share some good news stories of how your generosity is making an impact.

Through your generous giving your story is intwined with the stories of so many others. You may never meet these precious souls and they may never meet you, but please know that you are linked in such an amazing and special way. Every face, every individual and community that we have had the honour to work alongside  and help move forward in their development is because you have chosen to give and be part of the Operation Hope family.

I know that it is not easy to give at a time when so many are struggling and everyone is feeling the impact of COVID-19 in some way – so a massive thanks to you for seeing beyond yourself and tapping into your generosity to continue to make a difference. I am sure you agree that this update and the smiles you’ll see tell the story of hope and love. You are truly amazing!

So I encourage you to pause here, go get a cup of tea and a biscuit (or some chocolate) and then come back to read on…it’s a little lengthy update with photos (see attachment) but I promise you it will be worth it and you will smile

How amazing is that! It is hard to believe that so much can still happen – even in a pandemic!

Thank you on behalf of the Operation Hope team and Board

Fiona  Grech
