Royal Boys Night Out

The much-awaited members only event the Royal Boys Night Out was held on 23 July at the Epping Community Centre.

The food, drink and entertainment all received great reviews and it was great to see members catching up and letting loose on the dance floor after the last boys night in 2020.

Royal Boys Night Out

The live band Area 51 led by Udara Fernando (Group of 93)  from Melbourne kept everyone going to the end of a great night.

Thank you to all those who attended and supported the event in many ways, including those silent sponsors who donated generously. The Committee is looking into how we can attract a broader range of members and make the Boys Night an enjoyable experience for all!

In another first, members of the Committee went down to the Nation’s capital for a meet & greet/ fellowship dinner in Canberra on the night of the first leg of the Bradby Shield encounter on 20 August.

The event was attended by about 20 Canberra based old Royalists and their families who watched the live steaming of the game at Ravi and Priyanka De Silva’s residence in Canberra.

old Royalists and their families

There was great appreciation and interest by the Canberra based old Royalists to organise similar events in future and to join in events held by RCOBA NSW and ACT in Sydney such as the Valentine’s Ball.

Thank you to our ACT Coordinator and Committee Member Saman Mahaarachchi for coordinating and hosts Ravi and Priyanka for welcoming everyone to their home.
