Social-Media Madness

by Desmond Kelly ‘the Star of eLanka’

Breaking news, breaking news, breaking news!!
“DEADLY EXPLOSION” Channel 9, Aus. Television.
“DEADLY BLAST AT MANCHESTER CONCERT” CH.7.
“BLASTS AT MANCHESTER CONCERT” Channel 10.
“BREAKING : MANCHESTER EXPLOSION” Channel 2.
“MANCHESTER INCIDENT” “S.B.S . Channel World News

To all the readers of e’Lanka. This is already “Stale News”, although I fully understand that THIS is the quickest method of “Social-Media-Madness”available to Lankan/Australians everywhere, our eLanka W.Site..

The “NEWS” about the “explosion”/s? , single or multiple, is still not CONFIRMED, at the time I write this, I am looking at a young girl, Karen Ford (a witness) on S.B.S.T.V. giving us her version of what is happening there, in England, at the moment.

The “Madness” in the Social-Media I am referring to is the fact that CONCLUSIONS are being rushed-into without ANYONE knowing the FACTS of the matter.

Firstly, WHAT WAS THE EXPLOSION?
Secondly, WHERE DID IT OCCUR?.
Thirdly, WAS IT AN “ACT” OF TERRORISM?
From the early hours of this morning, in Melbourne, the “BREAKING NEWS” hits our television screens.

What we DO KNOW is that, last night, Manchester time, an explosion occured at a “Pop-Concert” staged by one of the latest female “Pop-Stars” Ariana Grande.

The “big-bang” went off AFTER the packed-out concert had just finished at the Manchester Arena. (last night).

At 10.15 am Melbourne time, today, the police there, inform us that “so far, 19 people are deceased and about 50 others have been injured in what they think IS a terrorist incident & is being treated as such.

It is also understood & confirmed that “Security Staff” in the “foyer” of the “Arena” turned back some people who were rushing out, in order to save them from possible injury, which gives me the belief that it was indeed a “terrorist-type” attack, just OUTSIDE the Arena. How this attack was carried out, we still don’t know. That THESE are the types of “gatherings” are the most suitable for terrorists, WE DO KNOW.

While everybody in Australia and around the rest of the World condone in sincere sympathy with everyone connected to the persons who met with such an unfortunate end, it HAS to be rememberwd by the hundreds & thousands of “spectators” at events such as this, that PANIC in these situations MUST be avoided and SECURITY-STAFF should ALWAYS be there to “stop” or at least “slow-down” the RUSHING of these panic-stricken audiences in order to LESSEN the death toll & unnecessary injuries, wherever possible.

MEDIA SHOULD NOT REPORT ANY UNCONFIRMED “NEWS”. This would simply mean, another “battle”won by the TERRORISTS THEMSELVES.

The “United Nations” are, right now, in the process of still another MEETING to get together and try to stop these terrorists from carrying out their ” dirty-deeds”.

I sincerely hope that THIS meeting is simply not convened to decide when the NEXT MEETING is going to take place. Social Media should forget the “madness” exhibited so often and take their chance to report on exactly what happens at these United Nations’ Meetings, pushing them to take some VALID CONCRETE STEPS to HALT EACH & EVERY “WANNABE ADOLPH HITLER JUNIOR OF THE FUTURE.”
