In commemoration of the 77th Sri Lankan Independence Day, I had the distinct honour of being hosted as a special guest by Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen BJ JP at the City of Casey’s official flag-raising ceremony at Bunjil Place, the renowned cultural and artistic hub of the City of Casey.

I was also deeply privileged to be invited as the chief flag-raising guest by Mayor Cr Jim Memeti at the City of Greater Dandenong’s official ceremony in Harmony Square, opposite the Council Chambers.

Over the day, I was also joined by Ms Janaki (Jane) Rajaguru, Ms Sithy MarikarMs Luxmy Sivarasa, Ms Meha Sivarasa, Rev.Sewanagala Nandarathana Thero (English Dhamma Temple Clyde) at these events.
