TASMANIAN TRAGEDY by Des Kelly

TASMANIAN TRAGEDY  by Des Kelly

To wake up on a morning so very close to Christmas, to such heartrending news concerning five young children who have just perished under such tragic circumstances in Devonport,Tasmania, is bad enough, but it certainly makes it even worse, when we stop to think that these beautiful innocent kids were in the very midst of enjoying themselves, when this unforseen tragedy struck. These “Jumping-Castles” and other excitement-venues for children have been around for ages, thousands of kids have enjoyed time spent in them, and then THIS happens.!!.

We are not certain about how many children were present in this ill-fated castle at the time, but we do know that four others are still being treated in hospital, at this moment. We do not know whether “the castle” was too insecure in it’s ground-structure, but we must realize that nature can be very dangerous and distructive at any given moment, so it is quite obvious that an extra powerful wind-gust must have been the only possible reason for this tragedy.

ON BEHALF OF ALL SRI LANKANS IN GENERAL, AND MEMBERS OF E’LANKA IN PARTICULAR, PLEASE ALLOW ME TO SEND OUR SINCERE SYMPATHY TO ALL FAMILIES INVOLVED IN THIS TASMANIAN TRAGEDY. MAY GOD TAKE EVERY ONE OF THESE CHILDREN INTO HIS ARMS AND HEAL/PROTECT THE ONES STILL IN HOSPITAL.

OUR SYMPATHY ALSO GOES OUT TO TASMANIA ITSELF.

EVERYONE THERE MUST BE HURTING BADLY, ESPECIALLY THE OTHER CHILDREN WHO WERE POSSIBLY FRIENDS OF THE FIVE, WHO WERE TAKEN AWAY FAR TOO EARLY.

…. … ……………….. AMEN……………… ……..
