The Great Wall … India.

You may not have often heard of the Great Wall of India. Yet, this is the third longest wall in the world right after the Great Wall of China and that of Gorgan, Iran, which is often referred to as ′ ′ Red Snake. ”In India it is one of the most important heritages of the Republic.

Kumbhalgarh was built between 1443 and 1481 by Rana Kumbha and enlarged in the 1800s.

Built on the top of a hill 1 meter high, the fort is surrounded by walls 36 kilometers long.

The walls are 4.50 meters thick, up to 15 meters wide, and are pierced with seven fortified gates

360 temples (Jain and Hindu) were erected within the fortress walls, of which only a few remain today.
