Leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga once again bowled well to take 5 for 13 while openers Dimuth Karunaratne 61 in 51 balls and Pathum Nissanka hit 37 in 39 balls as Sri Lanka notched up an easy 10 wicket win over Oman in a one sided affair of the world cup qualifying cricket tournament played at Bulawayo yesterday.

In fact Oman couldn’t make any challenge to Sri Lanka as they were bowled out for 98 in 30.2 overs while Sri Lanka openers had it easy with experienced Dimuth Karunaratne hitting an unbeaten 61 with 8 fours while Nissanka hit five fours to reach their target with 35 overs to spare in 15 th over .The left hander Dimuth Karunaratne who was in terrific form completed back to back fourth ODI fifty while Wanindu Hasaranga who took 5 for 13 after previous game six wickets haul easily was named man of the match . Hasaranga said this was a very good wicket to bowl leg spinners and he tried to bowl at stumps and got wickets

I did my normal basics and got successful results .Two pacemen Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha bowled in right areas to pick up early wickets while this match was very helpful to play forthcoming world cup said man of the match Wanindu Hasaranga after the Sri Lankas second consecutive victory yesterday.

cricketEarlier Oman invited to bat first were unable to make a good start with early breakthrough by Sri Lanka pace duo Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha .The opener Kasyap Prajapathi was first out LBW to Lahiru Kumara scoring one run in 9 balls while number three batter Aqib llyas scored 6 in 13 balls and his wicket was taken by Lahiru Kumara in 5th over and Oman were 15 for 2 wickets in fifth over while Skipper Zeeshan Maqsood scoring only one run was back in the pavilion and they were in deep trouble with 16 for 3 wickets in 7.2 overs and Lahiru took his second wicket to put Oman under under pressure After 20 overs Sri Lanka bowlers did really well to have Oman struggling at 72 for five wickets.

Once again the champion leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga came back strongly and took late order wickets to have Oman struggling and they were 98 all out in 30.2 overs . Hasaranga was in good form claimed 5 for 13 in 7.2 overs and after first UAE game six wickets haul he was able to pick back to back five wickets haul easily to became the highest wicket taker so far in this tournament having 11 wickets in two games.

The paceman Lahiru Kumara played a good supportive role taking 3 for 22 in his 8 over spell while Kasun Rajitha took 1 for 17 overs in his 8 over spell .

Sri Lanka will play next game against Ireland tomorrow (25).
