WARUNI was one of the children we met in Galle shortly after the Asian tsunami of 2004. She was then a school girl at Sangamitta College and she was one of the first children to whom AuSLMAT donated a laptop. She is shown here demonstrating her skills with the laptop at the Unawatuna Beach resort. Her sister Pushpika is next to her.

Waruni is now a second year undergraduate at Ruhunu University. She will meet the AuSLMAT medical team at the same hotel on Wednesday 5th July next year.
